The technology exists to improve fuel eficiency across the board by 5 to 10% easily and by as much as 20% and more! No reason why we don't have vehicles on the road that get 50, 70, 100 mpg and more!
People won't be that much less interested in buying suvs and other vehicles, but they'd be interested in buying suvs that get 30 to 40 mpg or more on the highway!
I know people with less than a high school education that can get better mileage than them, I did it when I was a kid, 10 to 20% and more, and can do much more now!
Write Congress and the automakers and tell them you want vehicles capable of 50 to 100 mpg now! We should all get together and buy GM, Ford or Chrysler or all of them and change things now! The hell with the government bailouts using our money for them!
